SK6 - CANCELLED: Lean On Me: Building Evaluation Capacity through Community Collaboration and Logic Model Development
Saturday, April 13, 2024
2:15 PM – 5:15 PM PT
Location: Grand Ballroom ABC
Evaluating your program is a necessity to build an evidence base for any intervention. Evidence-based approaches targeting African American/Black-identifying populations are especially in need to develop tools to improve health equity and combat systemic oppression; however, not every program has the funding to support a formal evaluation. The objective of this workshop is to build evaluation skills among those who implement interventions targeting African American/Black identifying birthing persons and their families. Participants will be able to describe evaluation approaches and identify those best suited for their intervention and resources. Participants will work collaboratively to develop an evaluation plan for their programs, no matter the phase the intervention, through the development of a logic model. In addition, the workshop will help participants identify community members who can support the evaluation through assisting with leveraging existing data and new data collection and analysis.
