Dr. Marshall, Associate Professor at USF College of Public Health, has expertise in community-engaged public health systems research and evaluation. She serves as Strategic Area Lead of Interdisciplinary Science & Practice and Director of the Sunshine Education & Research Center for Health, Safety and Wellness. Dr Marshall teaches research and evaluation, child health and development, community health promotion, and community application of public health science. She mentors students in a variety of methods to work with local and state programs particularly serving children with special health care needs (CSHCN) and underserved populations. For over a decade, Dr. Marshall has worked with the Florida Birth Defects Surveillance Program supporting the state registry and access to care for CSHCN and their families. In 2023 she received the USF Faculty Outstanding Research Achievement Award for her work on access, quality and continuity of care for patients with perinatal opioid use.
