(VP30) Leveraging partnership to expand evaluation capacity of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives

The CDC Foundation partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to design and provide evaluation training and technical assistance (TTA). The TTA will build and strengthen the capacity of the CDC-funded Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs) to evaluate their quality improvement (QI) initiatives. CDC identified a need that PQCs have around evaluating QI initiatives and understanding the impact of their work on perinatal and infant health outcomes. The CDC Foundation engaged the CDC through facilitated conversations and an evaluation workshop to define how to best support PQCs in meeting the evaluation needs. Subsequently, the CDC Foundation designed a TTA plan specific to address PQC needs around evaluation planning, implementation and use.
