(P-B85) An Evaluation of Maine's Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS)

The Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) is a surveillance system run jointly by the CDC and participating jurisdictions. We aimed to evaluate Maine’s PRAMS survey using the CDC’s guidelines for evaluating public health surveillance systems which provide a framework of performance measures to assess. We evaluated PRAMS on its simplicity, flexibility, data quality, acceptability, timeliness, and stability using record review, missing data analysis, and 8 key informant interviews with PRAMS staff and data users from state government and external partners.
